Halo launches pioneering water consent solution with Wairakei Estate

May 18, 2023

Halo are thrilled to announce our nomination for the 2023 Fieldays Innovation Award in the Growth and Scale category. This recognition underscores Halo’s dedication to pushing the boundaries of innovation and our commitment toward productive water management across New Zealand.

“Managing consent is inherently complex, especially at the scale of Wairakei’s multi-site operation. We’ve managed to accommodate 15 different networks, each with numerous nodes, offering customised alerts and various user access levels to ensure we streamline their approach toward consent management. We’ve used this project to support our Innovation Awards entry, to demonstrate the tangible benefits realised from the project.” Sean McChlery, Halo Systems.

Operating across extensive landscapes, the Wairakei Water User Group (WUG) faced the formidable challenge of centralising data, managing critical infrastructure, and navigating intricate water consent requirements. Halo’s solution integrated data from diverse sources, simplifying compliance management and data collection.

“Halo took ownership of understanding our consent requirements and worked with our team to create a market leading solution and deliver our project efficiently in conjunction with our other partners with both a compliance driven and operationally friendly approach”
